About the foundation

Rooted in Africa. Working with the world.

We make the connections that move African governments, enterprises and leaders forward, and we stay involved so those connections last.

Who we are

A foundation for opportunity, across borders and at home.

TBA Foundation is the foundation arm of The Brief Academy in Abuja. We work with state governments, enterprises, investors and leaders who have a clear objective, whether a partner, an investment or a platform, and we design each engagement around it.

Our work takes three forms. We run convenings, led by the Africa–U.S. Global Forum in Washington, D.C. We take delegations into global moments such as UN General Assembly High-Level Week. And we host international companies on the ground in Nigeria, with briefings, roundtables and introductions.

We also invest at home. The AHM Academy Student Sponsorship Initiative keeps more than 300 children in Mubi-North, Adamawa State, enrolled, fed and learning.

What guides us

Relationships with a purpose.

Start with people

A state government, an entrepreneur, a student: every engagement starts by understanding a real ambition and what it will take to move it forward.

Build the right bridge

We bring context to every introduction. Each forum, mission and meeting is designed around the people and institutions who can make a difference.

Stay for the outcome

Our work carries on after the event, through follow-up meetings, due diligence and commercial support that help relationships grow.

Investing at home

Opportunity begins in a classroom.

Alongside our international work, we support 303 children at Alhaji Habu Memorial Academy in Mubi-North, Adamawa State, keeping them enrolled, fed and learning from Nursery through Junior Secondary School.
